High Quality Or High Volume? Which Is Better?

panorama desde un globoImage by jesuscm via Flickr

If you’re building your home based business online you might feel really small in the grand scheme of things. After all the internet is extremely vast. So how could anyone ever expect to canvas the world wide web with our business opportunity?

Many people feel so overwhelmed that they want to put as much marketing material up as possible. So they make a dozen videos, write 50 articles and create 10 blogs all focused on their business and throw them up on the internet as soon as possible.

Others however are extremely picky about what they put out on the web so they take their time and make sure everything is just right before they ever publish it to the web.

So which method is better?

What is really more effective? Quantity or quality?

Of course in a perfect world you could have a mixture of both… perfectly shot and edited videos, compelling and interesting articles and eye catching websites and at the same time have lots and lots of them!

However, that’s not a reality for most network marketers. So which route should you take?

I say less is more… if that “less” includes good quality marketing materials. You can have 100 mediocre videos on the internet and not get half as many views as one really excellent video that was well thought out and keyword optimized well.

Also, in some cases you only have one opportunity to make a great first impression. If you have a bunch of bad material out there that can be very hard to overcome when people are thinking about joining your business.

Look at it this way. If you were going to sign up with Guy A or Guy B and Guy A had 100’s of videos and articles but they were all just “ok” and Guy B has only a handful of things but they’re all really impressive and thought provoking and exciting who are you going to sign up with?

I promise you it would Guy B every single time!

So do as much as you can but don’t sacrifice quality when you do. Don’t just show people your opportunity blow people away with it!

Building Your Own Website – The Basics of Domain Name Registration

WWW's "historical" logo, created by ...Image via Wikipedia

Ever wondered how websites are named? What if you wanted to name a website after your name but discovered that there is already an existing website of the same address? This is where the concept of domain name registration comes in.
Every computer in the World Wide Web is uniquely identified by an IP (Internet Protocol) address. For example, the Yahoo homepage has the IP address of 209.191.93.53, Google’s is 74.125.67.100, and MySpace’s is 63.135.80.49. For human internet users, memorizing these addresses just to be able to go to the particular website seems inappropriate and unappealing. Just imagine the millions of websites in the internet. Within that huge number, you must know the particular IP address of the website you intend to visit. To make navigation and website browsing a whole lot easier, the concept of domain names came into existence.
Domain names are the string of letters that you type in the address bar of your internet browser. Examples are www.yahoo.com, www.google.com, and www.myspace.com. They navigate you to the website homepage, same as when the IP address is typed into the address bar. But compared to the former method, this one is a lot easier to do, right? That is exactly the purpose of domain names – to provide an easy-to-remember name that will uniquely identify a particular website among the millions already existing today.
The owner of the website has the freedom to choose the domain name, provided that it is unique. A domain name server (DNS) holds a list of existing domain names in the internet with its corresponding IP addresses. This serves as a reference table for translating the website name to its corresponding IP address during navigation. Owning a domain name is on a first-come-first-served basis and the inclusion of your domain name in the DNS has a fee. Websites, especially business-related ones, aim to acquire a domain name that will be easily remembered and will effectively summarize the content of their websites. For example you are making a site tribute to King of Pop Michael Jackson. A good domain name for the site is www.michaeljackson.com. Issues arise if another person has already owned that domain name and you want to have that name for your website. What you can do is buy that domain name from the owner. Certain arrangements are made including bidding (if more than one person wants the domain name).
Several websites in the internet have popped out offering easy ways to acquire a domain name and to undergo the process of domain name registration. You have the choice of getting a ‘.com’, ‘.org’, and many others for your website. Your choice just affects which DNS the website’s domain will be registered and also the fee to be charged. Commonly, the fee is charged annually. If you were not able to pay for your domain name and your subscription has expired, the website will not be displayed when the domain name is typed in the address bar and it will be available for claiming by other website makers.
Domain name registration is a must for those who are planning to build a website. Choose a good domain name for the website, one which contains keywords related to the content of the site. This will make visiting and remembering your website easier.

MLM Opportunity-Your Ultimate Guide

Milestone - the 20,000th image taken by my Can...Image by Mukumbura via Flickr

A network marketing business might be tricky for first timers, but this usually means a lot of money to be earned so most people join the hunt for a good MLM opportunity. Do not be fooled, here are a few guidelines that will aid you in finding the best for you.
Research- Yes, researching is not just limited to the academe but is also extended in the career world. Ask for those who had involved themselves in MLM. Use your resources and search the World Wide Web for some comments and reactions about this. Business magazines may be of great help too.
Collect then select- This is not just applicable in choosing the right partner but also for seeking the best MLM opportunity. Make a list of the opportunities where you are interested and pick out the six that best suits your capabilities.
Another research- In order to ensure that minimal problems will be encountered when you take an opportunity, then you must make another research on the companies that you have chosen. The best would be to look for blog sites that have discussed that company. Take note of the complaints or praises and verify them well. Also, check the company’s reputation and the products and the services they have offered.
Make an evaluation- The last step would be to decide on the best MLM opportunity that best fits your lifestyle, need and capacity. Remember to think wise and think very well so you won’t regret your decision later on.

How To Use The Power Of Attraction Article Marketing

Description unavailableImage by ▼ A Fötos via Flickr

Many network marketers who have chosen to start learning online methods to promote and grow their business and attract potential prospects are also seeing the benefits of using article marketing.

However, there does seem to be a little confusion when it comes to the ins and outs of article marketing. To put it simply, there are a number of ways you can approach article writing with optimum results and you need to be using the best tools at your disposal.

This means you could start to use tools like Web 2.0 and article directories to name a few. The basics of article writing means that you are creating articles that centre on a product or offer and then you submit these to an article directory that ranks highly.

Whilst this method is perfectly acceptable you should ask yourself what would happen when a product you are marketing suddenly becomes unavailable. This will mean any articles you have published will contain links that are useless. That’s a big problem.

Attraction Article Marketing

The best method of getting the most out of attraction article marketing is to have your own website. This will allow you to direct your prospects to a dedicated review or preselling page and if the product or offer you are marketing gets withdrawn you can find a replacement product and put that on your site instead.

When you have your own blog or website, it makes things easier as you have less worry about your article hanging around in cyberspace containing useless links.

Article directories that rank highly on search engines are great methods of getting your message across but what is stopping you from going into overdrive and utilizing the strength of Web 2.0 tools?

The best way to do this is to rewrite articles. As an alternative to writing articles once and then publishing them on many directory sites you could rewrite the same article many times and create yourself additional real estate by using properties of Web 2.0.

An example of this would be using Hub Pages, Squidoo or creating yourself a wiki page. These sites may be completely new to you, but don’t worry. Every single one of these sources is a well known avenue to give your articles lots of exposure and they are also high rankers on the search engines.

Even better, if you present your article to a targeted audience you have the chance of converting some of your readers into buyers and prospects.

Network Marketing Website - Why You Need One In Home Business

alpacaImage by kingstongal via Flickr

The key for attracting a steady stream of prospects from a targeted audience is to have your own network marketing website.

When you own a network marketing website you’ll start to generate leads under your own steam and have full control over them. Even better, they will be targeted and new. Purchasing leads is a waste of money and has the risk of causing you to become frustrated enough to eventually quit.

The issues that most network marketers face whist they rely on a company branded website that looks the same as all other company branded websites is that it isn’t beneficial for developing your own identity in the industry and ultimately they are just another face in the crowd.

Why You Need Your Own Network Marketing Website

Your own website will allow you to;

- Create branding as an expert in your field
- Target leads
- Build a trusting relationship with visitors
- Use other ways to monetize visitors

Branding Yourself

If you do not stand out from the rest you’ll have no real chance of your prospects noticing you or attracting people to give your business attention. The secret to success in network marketing lies with forming trusting relationships with potential prospects prior to them paying attention to your primary business.

Having your own network marketing website will let you attract prospects by targeting them and reaching to those who are actually searching for you. Most company websites all look the same as each other, but generally don’t have much SEO value. Most of the time network marketers have strict rules implied on them too. In most scenarios, these websites have little value as a method of lead generation.

Having control over your lead generation is essential if you want to get a good response from potential prospects. Owning a website allows you to tap into the many promotional tools available online such as marketing using articles, Web 2.0 tools, and pay-per-click without the backlash of a company pulling out the rug.

The most important thing of all is that your own network marketing website also gives you the ability to create good relationships with your prospects. Your website will allow you to apply reliable pre-selling methods over time where you are providing value to prospects and they then show interest by making purchases and eventually joining your primary business.

Get More Prospects Attraction Marketing Online

Electric StrawberyImage by Dr Strangelove' Sketchbook via Flickr

Learning new skills can be a huge stumbling block for many people. This is especially so if the same thing has been taught for a long period of time and is ingrained in our minds. Making the transition to a new area is foreign to some and could cause some defiance.

This is apparent in the world of network marketing. Network Marketers are struggling to understand the new notion of attraction marketing online.

The foundation was laid by the Renegade Network Marketer whereby prospects would be attracted to the business funnel by utilizing the pulling strength of the Internet.

The problem is that whilst the idea is powerful, and can get struggling network marketing business back on their feet, network marketers are actually lacking the knowledge of how to go about it. Instead of finding the resources in order to learn these new skills they seem happy to fall back on the old school offline methods which have very little success.

Attraction Marketing Online

When you know the ways in which to use marketing strategies like attracting prospects using article marketing you will start to see that these strategies are amazingly powerful in attracting prospects to your business funnel and ultimately getting them to listen to your primary business offer.
It should be noted, however, that this is just one part of the puzzle and there is much more to be learnt about using the power of the Internet.

Recently, Web 2.0 has been introduced as an influential method for network marketers to submit their offer to a targeted audience. Services like Wikidot, Hub Pages, and Squidoo are rapidly gaining popularity. Also, social bookmarking website form another piece of the attraction marketing online puzzle.

Another area that is gaining more popularity is video marketing. This concept involves network marketers creating their own videos in order to promote their business. This would include speaking about how to be successful in network marketing or presenting a tutorial session showing how one would use a service. Any number of these areas would help to give you a reputation as an expert in your field.

If you use the above mentioned tactics together you will fast become a powerful and attractive force in the network marketing industry and even better, will help you to target your market instead of employing the random old school offline tactics.

Attraction marketing online should be the primary focus when you plan your promotional strategies. Once you start to apply these methods you can expect not only a rapid increase in the number of prospects coming to you, but these prospects will actually want to hear what you have to say and interact with you.

Grow Your MLM Business With Targeted Network Marketing Prospects

Encallado part IIImage by SoWhat - De Relax y aprendiendo via Flickr

Network marketers who use the Internet have a distinct advantage over those who choose to follow old or offline methods. One of the most important of these advantages is the ability of attracting thousands of targeted network marketing prospects compared to the ‘one at a time’ prospects of an offline MLMer.

Here’s a question for you. If you had the option, would you prefer to target 1 prospect or 1000 prospects at any one time?

What is the advantage that network marketers have when they enter the world of attraction marketing? Well, when you look at older offline methods you will notice that they are completely random. If that wasn’t bad enough you are also limited in the speed at which you can build your business and the number of prospecting and cash flow options open to you.

Targeted Network Marketing Prospects

It doesn’t matter how much effort you put in when you are network marketing offline. You will never come close to the numbers your online counterpart is earning whilst putting in the same amount of effort.

The basis of offline network marketing is trying to convert irrelevant prospects one prospect at a time. On the other hand, online network marketing sets about targeting prospects who are actually on the lookout for an offer like yours. Even better, as they enter your leads funnel they are genuine relevant prospects as they actually wanted to hear the message you were putting in front of them.

The Internet is far reaching and it is not an exaggeration that you can reach out to qualified prospects in their thousands at any given time. You just need to make that change from offline to online prospecting.

Thankfully, the days of an online network marketer no longer involve purchasing lead lists and then phoning round these leads at random. Such lists are now almost worthless given the online methods now available.

Internet Network Marketing

What Does a Network Marketer Need?

- Your own website in order to attract targeted network marketing prospects

- Your own dedicated blog so that you can build a strong relationship with your prospects

- You will need to utilize Web 2.0 methods in order to attract thousands of prospects at any one time

- You can also use video and articles in order to promote yourself and your business

- The ability to create and update a list of prospects that you can sell your business to and generate cash flow at the front end

- The ability to target the prospects you need and for them to contact you instead of the other way around.

Another great advantage of targeted network marketing prospects is that they are receptive to the messages you put in front of them and therefore the prospect of rejection is almost removed. We should all enjoy the process of building a business and with these new methods that is certainly an option.

The Power Of A Targeted MLM Lead

Highway QueenImage by Jeep Novak via Flickr

Those who have gained the most success in network marketing are those who have been able to create a system within a system. To put it simply, they make themselves the solution providers.

The means by which many network marketers now approach prospects and create targeted MLM leads has been changed dramatically by attraction marketing. They have learnt to harness the power of the Internet by applying the many online marketing and promotion methods to their business.

Targeted MLM Leads

Problems often arise because a lot of network marketers simply cannot get started with this new idea as it is completely alien to them. What seems to be required is some kind of training school or course which would show each of these people the methods and techniques required to promote their business online.

Many MLMers, and especially those who learned old school methods, struggle to apply attraction marketing to their business.

The notion of creating a blog, website, or using Web 2.0 techniques seem way above the technical knowledge of many network marketers who want an online presence for their business. In actual fact, the skills required are not too difficult to master, and it is well worth the effort when you see how much your targeted MLM leads increase.

You Are A Solution Provider

Over the years, it has always been the solution providers who have had the most success and money. Success boils down to beating the competition. If you can give an enthusiastic crowd the solutions and means to solve their problems you better be prepared to reach for the top!

Network marketing has long been a unique concept in the business world. Whilst lots of people understand the principals and power of its application, few really learn the art of applying them with any great success.

The birth of the Internet has meant that network marketers have a solid foundation through which to focus on a worldwide audience. Renegade network marketers have made full use of the Internet’s powers of attraction and many are reporting sign-up rates previously unheard of.

The concept of attraction marketing is such a sensible method when you look at how efficient it is at generating targeted MLM leads. If you target leads this will significantly reduce rejection rates. Rejection is one of the key reasons that most businesses fail within the first 3 months. The most important thing to new MLMers is to get their cash flow going as soon as possible.

It used to be that you joined a business and waited for months before you started to see any cash flow, but that era is now a thing of the past. Say goodbye to the old school, and hello to your first pay check!

MLM Lie - Blowing The Lid On One Of MLM's Biggest Lies

New Wormwood PrintsImage by ben_templesmith via Flickr

Does it take skill to build a network marketing business? How often have you been told anyone can do this business?

Did you know that statement has become known as an MLM lie? Yes, you do need skill to build an MLM empire. The above statement stems from the old tactic of getting your new sign up to make a list and get people to a meeting at your house and your upline will do the rest.

That's okay in principle and was effective when the internet was still being thought of but in reality, it's hit and miss prospecting with little business sense in today's online dominated environment.

MLM Lie

Don't be frightened by the above statement. Business skill to run an MLM business comes with training... proper training. The truth is, no one will build your network marketing business for you.

In the new MLM world of attraction marketing, business skill revolves around using the power and leverage of the internet to attract hundreds of prospects to you. It's about eliminating the hit and miss factor and getting your prospects to a stage where they actually contact you.

Inter-network marketing has been gathering momentum during the past two years and many predict it's the next boom within the industry. It's natural for "beaten up" former marketers who simply gave up with the old model of offline prospecting to doubt moving online can resurrect their MLM business.

Consider this if you're one of them. By having your own website to brand yourself; your own blog to create a relationship with your prospects and lead generation methods which include article marketing and utilizing the power of the Web 2.0 boom, don't you think you can attract targeted prospects into your marketing funnel?

Prospecting Online

The statement that "anyone can do this business" has been the catalyst for many failed marketers to actually part with their hard-earned and try MLM. It's an MLM lie that has been one of the more damaging of the 7 great lies of network marketing.

The secret lies in having a steady flow of prospects entering your funnel and then using attraction marketing principles to eventually convert them into associates. But the truth is, when attraction marketing is done right, your prospects will actually convert themselves even before you lay your primary offer on the line.

Not the MoonImage by Emery_Way via Flickr

Have you ever been required to write business letters? If so, you probably have the necessary skills to write concise articles for use on the internet. If you have a need for free network marketing leads, using this skill will help generate these leads.

Moreover, the leads you gain from these articles will be targeted by your articles’ content. Imagine that, targeted free network marketing leads!

You might be put off from writing articles by the belief that finding topics will be too hard. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you have a product that you are interested in, you already have the basis for multiple articles.

In addition, because you are familiar with the product, you already are familiar enough about its benefits to write interesting article many people around the work will enjoy reading. To gain leads, be sure to include your contact information in the article. This way it is easy for the interested reader to find you.

Where you ask, would I post my articles so that people can read them and contact me? There are a whole host of websites available for you. Conduct a search on the web for the topic you are interested, go to a site that is a directory for the topic and look for a link to contact the webmaster. Once you’ve found it write the contact and let them know you would like to post some content. The process couldn’t be any easier.

Once your articles are on the web, they will most likely be copied and placed on additional websites. When they are, your information will travel along with the copied article and help to generate even more free network marketing leads.

This is the beauty of what’s known as “viral marketing.” The information travels around the web and around the world achieving more and more valuable buzz each time someone reads it. Best of all, your time is spent only on writing and placing the first article. The rest is done by others and you stand to gain by their help.

If you currently have the basic writing skills to create a good business letter, try creating a short article on a subject you know. If you feel as though you don’t currently have the necessary skills, practice writing short articles and let your friends and family members read them.

Get feedback from this audience until you feel your skills are good enough to prepare a few short articles on the topic of your product. Then get those articles out there on the web and let them start harvesting valuable free network marketing leads for you.

Affiliate Marketing and You

Affiliate marketing is defined as the use of promotion in order to sell a service or product for another company. The affiliate, or middle man, is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale provided through their marketing efforts. The level of compensation depends on the main company. The affiliate’s job is to drive sales by linking the consumer to the company who is providing the requested product or service. Many companies use marketing to increase their revenue.

Affiliate programs have contributed to the rise of many leading online companies. Affiliate marketing is a means of achieving a greater degree of success with websites who target specific groups of Internet users. One of the largest and widely known is Amazon.com, selling books, electronics, toys, and even pharmaceuticals. Amazon.com has thousands of affiliated websites, allowing consumers a wide array of avenues in which to reach their products.

Affiliate marketing has blossomed over the years with the increase in merchants fighting for the customer’s attention. An affiliate works very hard to make sure the company is happy with their service, while keeping up with the ability to grab the consumer’s attention, ultimately pulling them to their website. The three most common commissions an affiliate will receive are through either pay per click, pay per lead, or pay per sale. Pay per click is simply that, every time someone visits your site and clicks on the merchant’s ad you get paid. Pay per lead means you most often need to get someone to sign up for whatever it may be the merchant is offering, like a credit card for example. Pay per sale means you must get the consumer to buy the product, this commission is by far the most lucrative.

Many people have turned to affiliate marketing as a way of supplementing income or as a full time stay at home job (great for moms who aren’t ready to go back to work just yet). If you have the time and know your way around the Internet then this may be the right job for you. Internet marketing isn’t going anywhere, with the rate technology keeps expanding, from small hand held devices to hot spot Internet connections the World Wide Web is by far the ultimate marketing tool. With the current decline in the economy causing consumers to tighten their wallets; more companies are attempting to get their products out to as many customers as possible through the fastest means available, what a better place than through the Internet.

Make Money Online Teaching

A teacher writing on a blackboard.Image via WikipediaDo you have a special skill or know how to do something that is marketable? You don’t have to be a certified teacher to share your knowledge with others. Set up a website and let everyone know that you are willing to share your skills with them. Become a coach or teacher for someone else. There are plenty of people out there that want to learn something new.

Are you a graphic designer or SEO writer looking to make more money? Maximize your potential by teaching others the skills you have. The Internet is a safe, private way to learn new things and people are becoming more receptive to it. University and colleges offer classes online but they are very expensive. You can offer smaller versions of those classes for much less money.

Becoming a teacher or coach requires a few things. You do have to have some teaching skills and be able to tailor your lesson to students. Patience is key. There will be a lot of people that come to you because they are too shy or lack the confidence to take the class in a traditional setting. Since you are running a non-traditional class you should expect non-traditional students. Be careful to listen to their needs and try to meet them as best you can.

All you need to get a class going is a computer, e-mail program and a website. You can have payment methods and information on your website. Put a Paypal button on your site and you will be able to collect payment instantly.

In order for you to establish a good reputation for yourself, you may want to offer incentives. If you are running an SEO coaching seminar online, you might want to offer a basic web coding class for half price. This will help to attract people and after helping them to improve their skills, they will be more apt to take more courses that you offer.

Before you begin offering classes, you will need to sketch a plan. Remember, when you are offering something online your website is what is making the first impression. Make it clear what you are offering and show examples of what the finished product will be. Your website should be very professional and free of broken links and typos. Advertising is also important. Having a blog and networking with other webmasters can help you do this.

To attract business, offer a demo seminar. People are sometimes leery about taking classes online. If they know what it will be like before they take it you are more apt to get students that are serious about the class. This is a plus for you and the people that sign up. The more dedicated the students are, the more likely they will do well and enjoy what you have to offer.

Give the class time to take off. Be sure that you are constantly checking for applicants. List the classes and seminars on sites that are related to your subject.
