Are you one of those people who are always looking for the bigger better deal in network marketing? You join one company only to be drawn to another and then another. If that sounds like you you’re never going to be half as successful as you could be if you stick it out with one company for the long haul. Here is why…

Network marketing takes time. Pure and simple. There isn’t a legitimate business out there that you can join that will make you rich in a couple of months. If you’re always bouncing around from company to company you’re never going to get out of the beginning stages of your business.

So do yourself a favor and get all the information you need up front before you join any one business and once you’ve joined one stay there until you see success. Obviously if you choose a bad company you may have to leave for some reason but that’s not really what I’m talking about. I’m talking about people who will join one company only to get seduced by another 3 months later.

In network marketing there are pro’s and con’s to every business. There is no perfect business… it just doesn’t exist. When you stick it out and focus on building the business you currently have you’ll have a lot more success than someone who can’t keep their eyes on the prize.

If you’ve been in a business for at least a year and you know you’re doing all the right things and you still aren’t seeing success then it might be time for a change. But don’t expect to be rich in 12 months because that’s probably not gonna happen. Anything that’s worth anything in life takes time and hard work. Are you willing to put in both of those things to see success?

Stop looking for the bigger better deal and start focusing on your current business and the money won’t be far away.

Tricks To Get More Traffic To Your Blog

If you have a home based business blog you might be looking for ways to generate more traffic to it. More traffic after all will mean more prospects. Here are a few quick tips that not everyone will know about how to generate more traffic to your home business blog.

1. Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is simple. It’s like the bookmarks on your own computer except instead of keeping your favorite websites to yourself you’re bookmarking them for everyone to see. It’s a simple concept that many people just don’t do. Digg is probably the most popular social bookmarking site so you might want to start there but there are literally tons of others. Bookmark your blogs to get more traffic.

2. Keywords in your blog posts

Using keywords is internet marketing 101. However, lots of people use keywords for the tags of their blog posts but not in the actual blog content it’s self. Don’t make this mistake. Keywords are everything online.

3. Keywords in your categories

Along with the content of your blog the categories of your blog posts are a good place to insert some keywords. So instead of “tips” try “work at home online tips” it’s as simple as that.

4. Update regularly

Search engines like it when you update your blog or website regularly. So don’t just post a few times and then forget about it. Update your blog at least once a week to see the best results. Some people even update every day.

5. Pictures

When you post pictures on your blog think about what you name them. Use keywords in the picture names. When people do a google search for images they might come across your image which will lead them to your blog!

6. Choose a good domain name

GregsBlog.com is probably not the best use of a domain name. While it might be easy to remember it’s not going to score you any SEO points. Try something with keyword like “GregsUltimateWorkFromHomeSuccessBlog.com it’s way longer but it will make all the difference in the world.

7. Create videos

Create simple videos that you can post on Youtube and Revver that promote your blog. Even if the video has nothing to do with a home based business just add the title of your blog to the end of the video and watch your blog get way more traffic. You don’t even have to be on the screen sometimes a simple text based video will work just fine.

8. Articles

When using article marketing try sending some traffic to your blog rather than your website or squeeze page.

9. Commenting on other blogs

Find other blogs that have the same niche as yours and start commenting. Comment though, don’t just spam! Spam is annoying and won’t win you any fans.

How To Get More Out Of Your PLR Articles

PLR or private label rights articles are a great tool to use to build your home based business. If you don’t know what they are PLR articles are simply articles that someone else has written that you can use as your own. It saves you time and if you’re not a good writer it can save you a whole lot of stress. There are multiple sources online that sell home based business PLR articles at an affordable price and when used correctly they will pay off big time! Here are a few tips that will help you get the absolute most out of PLR articles.

1. Use Keywords!

This is the number one tip I can give you. If you’re not using keywords in your PLR articles you’re totally missing the boat. PLR articles are written more multiple people so they can’t come with your specific keywords. To get the most out of them make sure you’re adding your personal keywords to each and every article. The keywords of course have to make sense but use as many as you can. This will help you get into search engines and have more people find your articles organically.

2. Submit Them Slowly!

Submit one or two articles at a time. Once those articles has been approved submit a couple more. If you are receiving a certain amount every month you don’t have to submit them ALL the moment you get them. When you add them slower it’s better.

3. Have A Good Resource Box!

Articles do you no good if you don’t add a good resource box at the bottom. And you would be amazed at how many articles I see without a resource box. Are people just suppose to guess what your website is? Make sure you add an effective resource box to each and every article.

4. Use Them On Blogs And In Videos!

When people hear the word article they think the only place they can be used are on article directories. Not true. If you have a blog PLR articles make a great blog post. You can also record them as marketing videos or use them on your Myspace or Facebook.

5. Change Them Up!

You should be changing at the very least the first sentence of every paragraph. This ensures that your articles are unique and when you submit them to different websites they won’t be rejected as often.

6. Buy Good Ones!

Let me put it simply. There are good PLR articles and bad PLR articles. And the good ones are worth paying for. The bad ones are just flat out a waste of time and money. Don’t spend a fortune, but pay for good articles!

7. Bookmark Them!

Once your articles are live on a website go back and socially bookmark them on places like Digg and Stumble Upon. This will help more people see your articles and that ultimately drives more traffic to your website!

Should You Use A Script On The Phone? Why My Answer Is No.

Telephone scripts have been alive about as long as multi level marketing has been. Everyone in the world of network marketing knows the drill. Buy a list of leads. Get a good script and get to callin’! However, is using a script on the telephone really the best idea? Here’s why I say no! At the end of the day you need to do what you feel is best for you but this is why I say a telephone script could be killing your business!

Phone scripts, no matter how conversationally they are written, always sound like scripts! There is no avoiding it. People are just generally horrible at reading off a script… period. I’ve even known people who claim to be awesome at reading from a script who still stink at it.

The other problem with reading off a script is that if the conversation ends up veering away from the script you’re really, really in a pickle.

For these two reasons people who might be smart in real life end up sounding stupid when they’re reading from a script. Who would you rather talk to on the phone at your house. Someone who just wants to have a conversation with you or someone who is nervous reading from a script? I rest my case.

However, I don’t believe that the concept of a script is a bad idea. I just think the execution is usually bad. It can be equally disastrous to pick up the phone and call a prospect without any idea at all about what you’re going to say. Nerves will kick in and you’ll end up, again, sounding stupid because unless you’re uber confident and know everything about your business you’re going to get stuck along the way.

So what’s a home based business owner to do? Here is the answer that I have come to. Rather than using a restrictive script try using a general outline.

The outline will give you talking points and a basic way of getting from A to B but it won’t put the words in your mouth which will end up making you sound more like you and less like a robot. The outline will also ensure that you won’t get lost along the way because you’ll have the guideline there that you can go back to.

If you already have a script that you like you can use the script. Just break it down and instead of using the actual verbiage of the script just type out the main talking points.

I hope that this article will help you see that using a traditional telephone script for your home based business may not be the best option for you. Don’t let something silly like a script stop you from having success in your home based business.

Want Success In MLM? Dig A Little Deeper!

If you want to succeed in your home based business sometimes all you have to do is dig a little deeper! What do I mean? Well, sometimes it’s not your best friend who is going to make you $100,000 a year. It might be your friends friend or even your friends, friends, friends, friend. So the next time you hear “no” from someone don’t give up just remember to dig a little deeper!

Hanging up the phone might seem like the obvious thing to do when someone tells you they’re not interested in your business over the phone. However, if you’ll just take a moment of extra time and ask them for the names of a few people who may be interested in a home based business those extra moments could make the difference between success and failure.

See you might now personally know the people you need to know in order to make six figures a year. But chances are someone you know DOES know those people.

I’m not going to lie to you. Sometimes you’ll get the phone hung up in your face. Sometimes, the person will say they don’t know anyone. However, chances are you’ll run into people who are more than willing to give you the names and numbers of at least a couple people who might be interested in working from home.

When you call those people if they say “no” guess what you do? Ask them for the names of a few people who might be interested! Just keep digging until you get a yes and trust me if you dig deep enough you WILL get a yes!

Again, I will tell you that this method might not be the most comfortable thing to do especially if the person has just given you a flat out no. But, if I told you that if you did this every time you spoke to someone on the phone you’d get rich twice as fast you’d do it right? Well that’s what I’m telling you!

So don’t just hang up the phone when you get that “no” take a moment and dig a little deeper.

Whenever I talk to people about my home based business opportunity I tend to hear that many people have lost all faith in MLM. Sure they believed in the idea of network marketing before but they’ve been burned and nothing can ever really change their mind or restore their faith. Have you lost all of your faith in MLM? If you have like I said you’re defiantly not alone.

However, I feel the need to tell you that just because you’ve been burned once in a home based business doesn’t mean you’ll never be able to have success again. In this article I’m going to go over a few of the reasons why people feel burned by MLM and why they have nothing to do with you having success from here on out.

The number one reason people tell me they’re turned off of network marketing is that whoever brought them into their last business told them things that just aren’t true. There is no way of knowing how long it will take for you to become successful working from home. For some people it takes a year or two for others it takes longer and in some rare cases it happens even sooner.

If someone has told you that you’ll be making a certain dollar amount in a certain period of time don’t trust them. What people don’t realize when they do this is that they are turning people off to the industry in general. Because all it takes is for one person not to make that deadline and they are upset and telling everyone about how that business doesn’t work.

So in the future make sure you’re working with people who you feel you can trust. People who are going to motivate you but not just fill you with hype.

Next, look at what you were doing. Did you really give your last business everything you had? Or did you do just enough to prove to yourself that it wasn’t going to work? You’d be SHOCKED at the number of people who sign up for a business, don’t try at all and then call the business it’s self a scam. Success in a home based business takes work… period.

Finally, you may have very well just been in a bad business. Yep, they’re out there. But that doesn’t mean that all businesses are the same. In fact far and away most all home based businesses are good! They’re legal and they’ll work for you. It’s just the few bad ones that sour the entire industry for many. Don’t believe the lies that all home based businesses are the same. They aren’t!

The Top 3 Biggest Benefits To Working From Home

Working from home has about a million and one benefits and everyone’s list is going to be just a little bit different. Some things that are incredibly important to some people might not be as important to others. This is my list of the top three biggest and best benefits to working from home.

3. Being at home!

That might sound a little silly but it’s true. Hands down one of the best things about working at home is that you get to work… at home! No boss, no office (or cubicle), no dress code, no nosey co-workers, no official lunch break, no office gossip, to favoritism, no deadlines, no commute… you get the idea. What setting would you rather make money in? A busy office building with a boss breathing down your back? Or on your couch with a cup of coffee and your favorite pair of pajama pants? I rest my case.

2. Security

People always talk about having “job security” but to be honest pretty much nobody in America is really, truly safe. When you work for yourself you can have the piece of mind that you can never get fired. You’re the boss, you make the rules. If for some reason you need to make more money instead of asking your boss for a raise you just work a little hard and boom… instant raise. Your paycheck will never ever go down unless you personally decide to make it go down. What’s more secure than that?

3. Time

Time with yourself, time on vacation, time with your children… just TIME! Time to do whatever you want. You can always make more money but you can never get time with your family back. Once it’s gone it’s gone. That’s why It’s number one on my list. Time is the most valuable resource you can ever have. Are you doing what you want with your time or are you giving all of it to your boss? If your answer is the latter you need a home based business fast! Find the business that’s right for you and start taking control of your time right now.

If you have a home based business you need to have a blog! Blogging is easy, free and all you’re really doing is taking people along on your journey as you build your business. Just write a couple of times a week about what you’re doing to build your business. Make sure to include keywords and you’re going to be attracting all kinds of people to your business. Sound easy? It is! The only trick with blogs is to make sure you’re using plenty of keywords (don’t skip this step otherwise nobody will ever see your blog!) and you’ll be good to go!

Finally, Facebook and Myspace. You might be on these types of sites already and really what’s more casual than sitting by the pool and messin’ around on Facebook? These social networking sites provide a great opportunity to market to both people you already know and people you can meet online. Who Made THIS The American Dream?

The American dream is a concept that pretty much everyone is familiar with. Even if you don’t like in the United States you probably know what it is. The American dream James Truslow Adams said it’s the idea that citizens of every rank feel they can achieve a better, richer and happier life through America’s democratic ideals and promise of prosperity. In layman’s terms the American dream is owning your own home, providing comfortably for your family, getting benefits from your job and living an all around good life.

Unfortunately for anyone who still believes in the good old American dream it’s just not reality anymore. Well, actually it is, it’s just that the American dream has changed… morphed and it’s never going back to what it was. The plan that was so good for our parents of going to school, getting a good job and being able to comfortably provide for our children is no longer a viable plan. Why do you think there are so many homes that have both parents working full time leaving their children to fend for themselves? The American dream as we know it is dead people… it’s time to mourn and let it go.

It’s a tough pill to swallow for many people who grew up believing in the ideas of hard work equaling a good life. Perhaps that’s why so many people still refuse to understand or embrace the idea of a home based business. Because even though so many Americans have been forced to seek secondary streams of income lately there is still something that seems odd, shameful (even dirty?) about it. Whether we want to believe it or not. The new American dream is to own your own business. And since very few people can afford to start their own traditional business the home based business has become the very best option out there.

I’m not going to spend this whole article telling you why working from home is so great. It should be blaringly obvious. Work from HOME. More time with your family. Job security. Being your own boss. The list could go on and on.

The American dream as we use to know it is dead. Embrace the NEW American dream and stop drowning in this crappy economy. You can rise above, you can thrive and you can have your very own version of the American dream!

What To Do During The In Between Stage Of Your Business

Men, you are more than welcome to read this article. However, it’s really the ladies I’m talking to for the moment. You know that annoying stage when you’re trying to grow your bangs out (see I told you this was just for the ladies) and they’re too long to be bangs but they’re too short to do anything else with? It might be the most frustrating thing ever, at least when it comes to hair.

Ok guys now you can jump back in. I want to talk to you about at frustrating in between stage in your business when you’re making money just not as much money as you need to quit your job or to really be satisfied. That might just be more frustrating than the hair thing!

So what are you suppose to do when you are making some money in your business just not enough? Here are a few tips that will help you to blow the lid off of your home based business and take it to the next level. Remember just like the bangs it will take time, but this should help speed up the process.

Mix it up. If you’re doing the same things day in and day out to build your business you might just need a change of pace for a little bit. Consistency is good but sometimes doing the same thing all the time can make you less effective. If you work mostly in the evenings try working in the morning. If you market 100% offline try adding in some online marketing strategies. Just mix it up!

Work a little longer. If you’re use to working 15 hours a week try adding just one extra hour every day to your daily business routine. It’s a small compromise that can pay off big time. Plus the more you work now the less you’ll have to work once your business really explodes.

Call in some favors. If you have those friends who’ve never gone to a meeting with you or won’t talk with you about your business see what you can do to get them some more information. Don’t bug people or push them into anything. But if they’re really your friend they should be willing to at least watch an online video or a DVD. Chances are you already have people in your life who would be interested in the business or your products if they really had more information about them.

Why Children Are They Best Motivator Of All In A Home Based Business

If you’re in a home based business and you have children you are at a huge advantage to everyone else who doesn’t have children. Seriously. When it comes to finding success in a home based business children are truly the best motivator.

Obviously just the mere fact that you are a mother or father doesn’t mean your guaranteed any type of success. You’re still going to have to work for it. There is no magic potion that makes building a home based business easier when you have kids. However, if your trying to build a business there is no motivator in the world that could ever be better than trying to provide a better life for your family.

Why am I telling you this? Because if you’re a parent and you’re thinking about joining a home based business you need to know the powerful advantage that you have. While money, cars and nice homes are enough to motivate many people there is nothing like the motivation to spend more time with your son or daughter. The motivation to give them a better life than you had, send them to a better school or take them on better vacations.

Your children are only going to be children for so long. So don’t spend half their childhood (or all of it) at work. A home based business will allow you to give your kids everything in the world they could possibly want and best of all it will allow you to give them the thing that every child wants the most… time with you.

At the end of the day when your children are grown they won’t remember that Christmas that you gave them that toy they wanted. They’ll remember spending time with you.

Your children are worth it aren’t they? Give them the best gift of all… you! And along the way your home based business will allow you to give them all that other stuff as well. Children are truly the best motivator of all!
