How To Be Successful In Network Marketing In The Next 12 Months: Part 2

:: Autumn anyone!! ::Image by » Zitona « via Flickr

This article is part two of a three part series that is intended to teach a brand new network marketers how to build a huge income from home in the next 12 months.

In the first article I went over exactly how to go about finding the home based business that’s right for you. So if for some reason you missed that article I recommend going back and checking it out. However, if you’re already involved in a business or you know what business you plan on joining this is the right place for you!

Once you’ve found the home based business that you want to be a part of the most important thing is marketing, marketing, marketing. After all what good is a home based business if you don’t have anyone to tell about it?

Many companies recommend that you buy lists of leads. People that you have to call and read a script to. Here is why I don’t like this method. It’s old and tired and people are sick to death of getting sales calls. Most of the time you catch them at a bad time or they’re not really interested and you end up wasting your time and the time of others.

I don’t like the idea of sending out a big bulk email either. This is because people get so much spam to their inbox that most of your emails will probably end up being deleted anyway. It’s just not effective.

The best way to talk to a prospect is to have THEM contact YOU! So how do you do that? Well you generate your own leads and you can do it all for free both on and offline.

Here are several of the best ways to generate huge amounts of people to talk to about your home based business. These methods will not only help you find people but people that are actually interested! What a breathe of fresh air that will be!

As I list these I’m going to separate them into two categories: online and offline. I’m also not going to be able to elaborate as much as I’d like to on each technique but these will at least give you some great ideas and you can work on perfecting them one at a time!

Offline:

Sizzle Cards - drop these babies all over town. Leave them as tips, at the dry cleaners, on people’s cars. As long as you use a catchy phrase they can work for you.

Car Magnets - This is a good way to get the word out about your business around your local area.

T-Shirts/ Buttons - They can draw attention to you and get a conversation going about your business.

3 Foot Rule - If you have the guts to talk to the lady in front of you in line at the grocery store we salute you!

Flyers - Either on bulletin boards around town or door to door.

Door Hangers - have them made and pass them out door to door. Hey, it’s good cardio!

Signs - Create signs and put them out along the sides of the road (think garage sale signs) it takes a lot of work but it can be worth it when done correctly.

Online:

Myspace - The grand daddy of social networking. Every marketer should have a Myspace page.

Facebook - Post articles, videos, join groups and update your status. This is social networking at it’s best.

Twitter - Probably the most easy to use of all the social networking sites. A huge favorite among network marketers.

Craigslist - Free online classified ads!

Backpage - Like a less popular Craigslist, still very effective though

Yahoo Answers - Answer people’s questions about working from home and they’ll probably visit your website in return!

Squidoo - Create your own lenses on any topic you want. (Tip: this is a great way to get on the first page of Google!)

Hub pages - Squidoos twin brother!

Social Bookmarking - These sites allow you to draw more attention to things that are already online. Like your website, blog, articles, or Youtube videos.

Article Marketing - By far the best method of online marketing. This is perfect for someone who’s just starting out on the internet.

Forum Marketing - There are countless numbers of home business forums and message boards online. They’re all free and they’ll get you really great results.

Blog Marketing - This can be both setting up and promoting your own blog and leaving comments on other people’s blogs!

Video Marketing - People like their information spoon fed to them and video marketing is a great, free way to do that. Also, sites like Revver, Metacafe and Youtube get huge numbers of visitors each and every day!

Press Releases - They can be really beneficial to your business just make sure you take the time and write them properly!

Pod casts - Create your own pod casts on any topic relevant to working from home. Tight niches do really well with pod casts so think “The Stay at Home Mom Podcast” or “The Broke College Student Podcast”

Pay Per Click - This is the only thing on this list that isn’t free (or really, really cheap) but we felt we needed to mention it because for some people PPC is a great way to market online. Just be careful of your budget and start out slow otherwise you might end up spending a lot of money and getting very little.

The list could go on and on but hopefully I’ve given you lots to think about. You can’t have network marketing without… MARKETING! So learn each one of these methods inside out and remember the best way to learn something is to start doing it. Don’t wait. Take action right away!

Look out for part three of these series where we talk about working with your team and leading them to victory!

Tricks To Get More Traffic To Your Blog

A diagram of movement within a roundabout in a...Image via Wikipedia

If you have a home based business blog you might be looking for ways to generate more traffic to it. More traffic after all will mean more prospects. Here are a few quick tips that not everyone will know about how to generate more traffic to your home business blog.

1. Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is simple. It’s like the bookmarks on your own computer except instead of keeping your favorite websites to yourself you’re bookmarking them for everyone to see. It’s a simple concept that many people just don’t do. Digg is probably the most popular social bookmarking site so you might want to start there but there are literally tons of others. Bookmark your blogs to get more traffic.

2. Keywords in your blog posts

Using keywords is internet marketing 101. However, lots of people use keywords for the tags of their blog posts but not in the actual blog content it’s self. Don’t make this mistake. Keywords are everything online.

3. Keywords in your categories

Along with the content of your blog the categories of your blog posts are a good place to insert some keywords. So instead of “tips” try “work at home online tips” it’s as simple as that.

4. Update regularly

Search engines like it when you update your blog or website regularly. So don’t just post a few times and then forget about it. Update your blog at least once a week to see the best results. Some people even update every day.

5. Pictures

When you post pictures on your blog think about what you name them. Use keywords in the picture names. When people do a google search for images they might come across your image which will lead them to your blog!

6. Choose a good domain name

GregsBlog.com is probably not the best use of a domain name. While it might be easy to remember it’s not going to score you any SEO points. Try something with keyword like “GregsUltimateWorkFromHomeSuccessBlog.com it’s way longer but it will make all the difference in the world.

7. Create videos

Create simple videos that you can post on Youtube and Revver that promote your blog. Even if the video has nothing to do with a home based business just add the title of your blog to the end of the video and watch your blog get way more traffic. You don’t even have to be on the screen sometimes a simple text based video will work just fine.

8. Articles

When using article marketing try sending some traffic to your blog rather than your website or squeeze page.

9. Commenting on other blogs

Find other blogs that have the same niche as yours and start commenting. Comment though, don’t just spam! Spam is annoying and won’t win you any fans.

These are just a few ideas that if you implement will defiantly help you get lots more traffic to your blog and eventually make a whole lot more money!

Secrets To Attraction Marketing - Why You Need To Be Learning It

BLUE MONDAYImage by ainasa via Flickr

Learning new skills can be a big hurdle for a lot of people. If you have always learnt the same methods it is difficult to change your way of thinking to using new methods, and in fact many refuse to do so.

This seems to be occurring more and more in the world of network marketing right now as networks attempt to understand the secrets to attraction marketing.

The foundations were put down by Ann Sieg where she explained how the power of online marketing could really attract more prospects to your business.

The problem is that whilst this idea is strong and can revitalize many struggling network marketing businesses, the one thing most network marketers are not grasping is the ‘how’ and instead of taking the time to learn these new tactics they are happy to stick to the random methods of the old school offline tactics which to put it plainly do not work.

Secrets To Attraction Marketing

When you know how to utilize marketing tactics such as marketing with articles in order to attract potential prospects to your business, you will see what a powerful method this is of obtaining a consistent flow of prospects that you can show your primary offer.

Remember, this is only one method and a tiny part of how the Internet can help you to reach more prospects.

In recent years, Web 2.0 has been introduced and is a very strong method for network marketers to present their offer to a targeted audience. If you can use online resources such as Hub Pages, Squidoo, and Wikidot you are onto something as these tools are very popular. Also, the use of social bookmarking pages can also open up doors for your business.

Marketing using videos is also becoming more and more popular. This involves publishing videos that you have made onto an online directory. These videos might show you explaining how to gain success in network marketing or teaching the use of a specific method or service. This will really give you a good name as an authority in your chosen field.

The methods listed above all work in harmony and can really make your business a driving force in the network marketing industry. Most important of all, you will be able to target your audience instead of relying on random attraction tactics that come from network marketing offline.

The fact is, the secrets to attraction marketing are not such a secret after all as many network marketers start to see where the foundations lie. Act now in order to start converting prospects by using the online environment as your training ground.
