The nit picker is someone who’s not hard to spot. They’re always complaining about everything. No matter what new product or marketing tool your business rolls out they always have something negative to say about it. This kind of energy is just plain contagious and it can spread through a team faster than cancer.
If you have someone who has to find something negative in almost everything you’re going to want to let that person go or at the very least keep them away from the rest of your team. These type of people never ever accomplish anything good and they usually drag other people down with them.
Number two is the self doubter. This is the person who believes in everyone but themselves. They may seem harmless at first but after your millionth phone conversation trying to convince them that they can do it you’ll start to wonder if it’s really all worth it.
Number three is the know it all. You know the type. They’re the people who don’t need to be taught how to market because they already know. They don’t need to follow the system because they’re just “that good” and they don’t want to come to meetings or listen to anyone else who’s had success because everything you could possibly teach them they already know. Know it alls are every where but there seem to be a lot of them in most home based businesses.
Just be careful that they’re only hurting themselves and not the rest of your team. Because like the nit picker they can really mess up a group if their attitude spreads.
Finally you don’t want someone on your team who you’re going to have to convince to join. Have you ever worked really hard on trying to get someone into your home based business? DON’T it’s a waste of time and energy. If you have to work that hard just to get them to sign up think about how hard you’re going to have to work to get them to do anything!
