Anybody that tells you that building a prosperous MLM business requires little or no skill should really have their state of mind questioned. These days it is even more obvious with internet attraction marketing.

That might be a little bit on the strong side, but the fact is that these days using the old methods of planning meetings in your home and sharing products will usually mean you are destined to fail. These methods are slow and often mean people give up in frustration. But, doesn’t the same apply to an MLM business? Isn’t that a slow process too?

The internet allows you to use better attraction marketing techniques and all of a sudden you will find your sales funnel filled with individuals who are actually looking for you.

Even better than that, the pressure you used to experience before is suddenly relieved. No more do you need to worry about targeting and signing up that one prospect to your business only to find they suddenly disappear and you are back where you started. You will be spoilt for choice with the number of prospects on your doorstep.

Using online lead generation methods can often mean you are working with between 5 and even 100+ prospects who are interested in what you have to say. Your time and effort can be spent on concentrating on these interested individuals and satisfying their needs. If you are not yet utilizing internet attraction marketing you had better start doing so soon otherwise you will be left further and further behind.

The moment that Brian was about to make his massive breakthrough into the industry a few years back he got stage fright and ruined his chances of success.

It’s a strange concept isn’t it? You put in all that effort and have big dreams about gaining financial freedom and living the life you have always wanted, but when it comes to the crunch you kill the dream and sabotage your own success.

Brian worked hard at his network marketing business and within a short period of time he had built his business to a level most network marketers can only dream of.

In just nine months, his downline was strong and his income was totalling $900 a week. Impressive! However, there was still a lot of work to be done. It was quite possible that Brian was on the road to achieving the first major milestone in his company which would mean residual earnings of $1700 on a weekly basis.

To say he was excited was an understatement. Excitement also turned into fear. Brian started to realize that people were asking more and more of his time and as a result his private life was affected due to the amount of presentations he had to provide.

This is when Brian made his mistake. This is when he could have done with some training on how to avoid home business failure. He thought to himself “well, now I’ve come this far I can let my downline work for me and get me to the level I want to be at.”

When Duplication Backfires In Home Business

This was a huge mistake! When Brian began to become more laid back about his responsibilities, this was picked up by his downline immediately.

They began to copy his actions. If he didn’t show up at presentations then they would not show up either. If he ceased to hold personal training sessions they would too. His lead generation relaxed and so did theirs.

They saw Brian doing something and thought it was acceptable to do the same. Instead of working hard and showing a good example he simply let go. He didn’t realize that he was only halfway to his goal. As a result people dropped out and this had a detrimental effect on his income. Before he knew it he was back where he started.

The first thing he did was to put the blame on everyone else. It wasn’t until he looked at what happened that he realized the fault was his alone. He did not have the required success mindset and the effect on this business was disastrous.

Brian made these mistakes, but you don’t have to. Remember; think of each stage of your success as a short term goal. If you don’t have a target to aim for you are never going to succeed.

Too many network marketers are looking for the quick and easy solution to MLM lead generation. In fact, the search is well and truly on for the big red magic button but the truth is, it's still a fairytale.

Believe it or not people actually believe they do exist. But do you really think this is going to build you an MLM business with a solid foundation that will hold its own? It is pretty much guaranteed that this will not happen but yet people still flock to them and join and then sit back and wait for the money to roll in.

You can have some automation of the business but it cannot be fully automated. A business that is to be run fully automated is rarely possible. There are many aspects of MLM that need your personal attention if you want it to keep earning you an income for years to come.

So now you have discovered that some of it can be automated. But, some of it just cannot be. Let’s look at two very important areas that cannot be automated and need your vital attention.

You have to forget buying leads because they are expensive, will burn a hole in your pocket and in a nutshell, are unresponsive.

2) Relationship building is a vitally important step in the building of the MLM lead generation process. There is absolutely no way to put relationship building on the automatic button. It may very well be done in the not too far off future but cannot be done today.

Relationships are built on trust. Your people will look to you for guidance and teaching. There is no way something like this can be fully automated. In a sense, the interactions you make with your downline, whether they are face to face, by phone or email are the glue that will keep your foundation from crumbling to the ground.

Think to yourself, is there a way you can make your network marketing opportunity automatic? This is a very important question because the internet has started to become an extremely important part of business.

Network marketers worldwide are now using the internet for MLM. Lead generation and prospecting are the keys to the system, but you must understand how to use both. But let's not forget that despite the internet providing us with a fertile lead generating ground, there is still hard work required. Leads are the most important part of any network marketing opportunity in the world. The matter of fact is that without them your downline is doomed in the end. You must resist the urge to let someone else do the lead generation that you so desperately need.

You must realize that you will be in front of most other network marketers that are trying to build their business. You must know exactly where your leads are coming from and exactly where they are sourced. You must develop your own lead marketing system for you to be successful over an extended period of time. Network marketing lead generation is the key behind any successful MLM business. Without lead generation your business is ultimately doomed for failure. We personally are not fans of buying network marketing leads no matter what the price is. The reason for this is that we are not in control.

What do we mean by not being in control? Simply because we weren't the ones who generated the leads. Do you know how fresh the leads are you purchased or how they were generated. Worse still, how many people have already used them?

And this leads to the issue of being affected by constant rejection. How would it make you feel to keep hearing people less than tolerant of you being on the phone. Heck, most of the time they are surprised and not even sure how they got on a list or when they asked for further information.

It is important to know how fresh your MLM leads are because if they are not fresh they are virtually worth nothing.
