Being in listening mode in your first phone conversation with a prospect is a personal network marketing tool that you must possess. Many people try and find the right tools to help their business, but in the world of network marketing, you are your best asset. Being value-driven with people and knowing how to talk to people is the most powerful tool out there.

Network Marketing Tool - First Contact

On the first phone call it is very important to be able to understand what your prospect wants and what they need from you. This first call is there to figure out how you are going to help your prospect become more prosperous.

You need to be the solution to their problems and show them how they can profit from your services.
Many distributors are too eager to show how great their business is and their prospects get scared away. This results in the prospect becoming less likely to join your business in the long run.

Why?

In simple terms the first phone conversation needs to be completely about them and not you. The reality is that your prospect does not care about your company and your products. They are interested in how those products can help benefit them in the long run.

Network Marketing Tool - 6 Questions You Should Ask

Here are six questions that you should ask your prospect during the ever so important first conversation. These questions will help you understand what the prospect wants from you. The first phone call is not about selling anything it is just about finding information.

1. First introduce yourself then ask if it is a good time to have a conversation.
2. Ask the prospect if they are looking for a home based business to start.
3. Find out how long your prospect has been searching for a home based business.
4. If they have been looking ask them if they have found anything that they are interested in.
5. Find out what the most important thing is in the prospects life.
6. Lastly, you need to find out what the prospects level of desire is. If their desire is high then they will e a good business associate.
