Do You Have Your Game Plan For Success?

No halfway decent football team would ever go onto the field for a big game without a game plan. So why is it that when it comes to something as important as your financial success we seem to jump in without any sort of real plan at all? In this article we’re going to be going over the importance of having a rock solid game plan and how it can be the difference between success and failure in a home based business.

Having a game plan doesn’t mean that all you do is plan. In a home based business it’s all about action, action, action, you can plan and prep all day long but if you never get to action you’re never going to have success. That doesn’t mean however that you should just join a home based business without any real idea of what you’re going to do to succeed.

So exactly what is a game plan in a home based business? Well for starters you’re going to need to know WHAT to do. Will you market online? Will you talk to your friends and family? Will you stand on the side of the road with and sandwich board? (though that last one is not recommended)

You’re also going to need to know when you’re going to do it. Do you plan to work after you get off work in the evenings? Do you plan to work only weekends? What about while your kids are in school?

Where are you going to work? In a home office? At your kitchen table? In a rented office space? On your couch with a laptop and a cell phone?

And finally and in many people’s opinions the most important… WHY are you doing this? To send your kids to college? So your wife can quit her job? To help pay the bills? To spend more time with your kids?

Take some time and answer all of these questions. Be as detailed as possible. For example don’t just say you’re going to work in the evenings… what time will you start? 5? 6? And when will you end?

The person who brought you into the business would be a good person to consult when it comes to exactly how you’ll be marketing. Many leaders already have plans for success mapped out for new people in the business.

Bottom line. Once you get a good game plan mapped out you will start to become much more successful in whatever home based business you decide is right for you.
