The Danger Of Having Too Many Backup Plans

There is nothing wrong with having a backup plan in any situation. But what happens when we become so unsure of ourselves that we have backup plans for our backup plans?

Anyone who’s ever dreamed of becoming an actress, a football player or a singer has had people tell them that they need a backup plan. Because after all the chances of becoming a famous movie star or an NFL quarterback are roughly the same as being struck my lightening… twice.

There’s nothing wrong with having a backup plan (though personally I find them to be a little boring and safe). So you say, what does this have to do with me and my home based business? They’re pretty much the same. Along the road to success you’re going to have lots of people tell you that you need a backup plan.

“You know these things don’t always work for everyone” “What are you gonna do if this thing doesn’t work out” ect. If you haven’t heard something like this before, you will.

However, while it might make good sense to have a backup plan in about 99.9% of all cases people who have a backup plan for their home based business is going to fail.

Let me put it this way. If you think you’re going to get laid off from your job in the next year or so and you join a home based business the home based business is your backup plan. But what people tend to do is get ANOTHER backup plan. “Well if this business doesn’t work out I can always go work with my uncle Frank at the family business”

If you have a backup plan for your backup plan you are NEVER going to be successful in your home based business. Because as you’re working your home based business it’s going to get rough at times and those people who have all sorts of other options are going to give up before they can ever really see any real success.

Do yourself and your business a favor and stop with the backup plans! Make the choice to become successful working from home don’t give yourself and easy out. Stick it out and you WILL become successful in your home based business.
